Diamonds In The Rough Sports Foundation had been in operation for years before their need for a logo came around. While looking to expand their sports reach and their funding opportunities, DITR wanted a strong brand to share. With the name “Diamonds In The Rough” both referencing at-risk youth and a baseball diamond, Nina and Murphy wanted a Diamond shape to be the focal point of the logo. The other focus was incorporating not only an education element, but a graduation element. We used a stack of books with a graduation cap on top to show the process of learning and success that DITR brings.
We used a strong, sleek color palate, incorporating a strong orange that DITR wanted and adding black and greys for a bold look.

We love our logo created by Launching Labs. They gave us several options and it was hard to choose! The logo perfectly combines our key values of sports, education, and student graduation. We hope to use the other graphics for camp tee shirts. In addition to the logo, Alison and Mary helped us with writing, social media setup, and consultation. We look forward to working with them on future projects.
